The Mermaid’s Lament for either Irish Whistle or Eb Tenor Horn and Brass Band is a Celtic style song which tells the story of a mermaid looking towards the shore and wondering what it would be like to fall in love.

With a beautiful haunting melody and simple effective accompaniments this makes a great piece to include in your concert programmes.

Written for the Bandamonium 2023 contest held in Devon for the Okehampton Excelsior Band’s concert programme, The Mermaid’s Lament was a great hit with audiences combining the sounds of the Irish Whistle and Brass Band.
