The Mermaid’s Lament for either Irish Whistle or Eb Tenor Horn and Brass Band is a haunting Celtic style song. The melody tells the story of a mermaid looking towards the shore and dreaming of falling in love.

With a beautiful melody and simple effective accompaniments this makes a great piece to include in your concert programmes.

Written for the Bandamonium 2023 contest held in Devon for the Okehampton Excelsior Band’s concert programme. The Mermaid’s Lament combining the sounds of the Irish Whistle and Brass Band was very popular with the audiences.
