Score & Parts
Another fine example of Kevin’s skill as a melody writer. The full chording, subtle rhythm and beautiful melody pleases audiences of all ages. A fantastic addition to your Horn solo repertoire
Watching The Wheat is a traditional Welsh Song (Bugeilio’r Gwenith Gwyn)
Which translates as “Shepherding the White Wheat.”
This arrangement was for Kevin’s 50 Years A Bandsman concert being the melody that he performed on his first solo radio broadcast aged 9 years.
Written for Kevin’s Partner Barbara “An Huni a Garav” translates from the cornish language as “The one that I Love.”
This Beautiful melody will well into any concert programme.
Tenor Horn Legend Gordon Higginbottom described it as: “A lovely piece, a nice change to have a good melody not ruined by loads of twiddly bits, a real beauty.”
Best described as a Xylophone style solo written for Tenor Horn.
Kevin wrote this as a finale to his guest soloist performance at his 50 Years A Bandsman concert and dedicated to the memory of John Holland his music teacher from his school days who passed away a few months before the concert took place.
Also available with piano accompaniment.
