Score & Parts
A slow dreamy opening followed by a pop/rock finish. Great fun to play, the percussion section can let their hair down and audiences love it.

Takeda no Komoriuta (Lullaby of Takeda) is s beautiful Japanese folk song which tells the story of a young girl, forced to leave her family and village to work for a rich family on the other side of a mountain. As the girl worked carrying a baby on her back she thought about her family. Missing them she sang this song to comfort herself.
Playable by any standard of band this has proved to be very popular with audiences.
This haunting melody from the pen of G. F. Handel was used in a 2002 television advert for a well-known brand of jeans. A great addition to your concert programme.
A great opener for any section of band.
Written as the signature tune for Kevin’s weekly Brass Band radio programme of the same name.
