Watching The Wheat (Eb Tenor Horn) a traditional Welsh love song “Bugeilio’r Gwenith Gwyn” translates “Shepherding the White Wheat.”

The melody dates back to the 18th Century attributed to John Thomas a Welsh composer and harpist.

The lyrics tells the tragic love story involving Wil Hopcyn and Ann Thomas of Llangynwyd.

There are countless recordings of this beautiful melody including, Alad Jones, Max Boyce and the King Singers.

Kevin arranged this version for his 50 Years A Bandsman concert.

He performed this melody his first solo radio broadcast aged 9 years.
