Pur Ti Miro (I Adore You) – Eb Tenor Horn Duet with Piano
Pur Ti Miro (I Adore You) presents a beautiful operatic duet arranged for two Eb Tenor Horns with piano accompaniment.
Monteverdi included this enchanting music in his celebrated opera L’incoronazione di Poppea, where it expresses tenderness, devotion, and love.
The original vocal duet provides an ideal foundation for the warm, lyrical sound of two tenor horns.
Each player shares the melodic material, creating a balanced and expressive musical conversation.
The flowing horn lines blend beautifully while retaining the elegance and emotion of Monteverdi’s original music. Meanwhile, the piano accompaniment provides a sensitive foundation and supports both soloists without overpowering them.
This arrangement gives performers valuable opportunities to develop lyrical phrasing, breath control, balance, intonation, and musical expression.
As a result, it suits concerts, recitals, weddings, church performances, and other special occasions.
Its romantic character also makes this tenor horn duet an excellent choice for quieter moments within a concert programme.
Audiences will appreciate the beautiful melodies and distinctive combination of two Eb Tenor Horns.
Ultimately, Pur Ti Miro gives tenor horn players the opportunity to perform one of opera’s most memorable love duets.
Through this elegant arrangement, Monteverdi’s timeless music comes to life in the rich, expressive voice of the tenor horn.
